Christ Church regularly collects food for the WHEAT program in West Haven, which distributes food to local food pantries and soup kitchens. Many parishioners also take part in the Naugatuck Ecumenical Outreach Network, which provides a monthly community meal, as well as school lunches during vacations to hundreds of children in the Naugatuck region. At Christmastime, our "We Come Bearing Gifts" ministry provides holiday meals as well as family gifts for 8-10 families that are chosen for us by local social service agencies. Although we don't know who these families are, we know our generous outpouring of gifts make their Christmas season more special.
