Building and Grounds
Our spaces . . .
Christ Church is located in a bucolic rural setting in the small, picturesque town of Bethany (located midway between New Haven and Waterbury) on Amity Road (State Road 63). The center of the campus is the 215-year old church building, an excellent example of classical New England early Colonial architecture. The structure has been lovingly maintained for the past two centuries, and is currently undergoing a facelift to its majestic steeple. Nearby stands the rectory, a Colonial home built in 1825 that has served generations of clergy who have served at Christ Church. Rounding out the campus is the parish hall, known as the “Parish House,” built in the 1970s and renovated and expanded within the last 15 years. This building houses the administrative office, the Children’s Chapel learning space, a library/meeting room, a full commercial kitchen and a large multi-purpose space for all manner of gatherings.
